College Karaoke

College and university karaoke events in NYC and the tri-state. Greek life socials, dorm-block parties, alumni events. Energy management for a younger crowd, no swearing if you need it.

About the service

Energy management for a college crowd.

College karaoke is energy management for a younger crowd. The library has to be current enough to land with students but flexible enough to cover the occasional throwback and alumni request. We have hosted student activities events on campus, including an outdoor amphitheatre night at Sarah Lawrence College where three hundred students stayed singing and dancing the whole booking, and we know how to keep that kind of crowd moving without it tipping into chaos.

What's included

Everything we bring to the room.

  • A karaoke DJ who knows how to host a younger crowd, with last-minute bookings handled professionally
  • Four wireless microphones so groups can sing together, which is how college crowds prefer it
  • TV monitor on a stand, Bose speakers, and the up-to-date karaoke song library
  • Current pop, hip-hop, rock, and TikTok-friendly tracks alongside throwbacks for alumni nights
  • A QR code songbook so students browse and queue songs straight from their phone
  • Clean-version playlists available if your event requires it, plus setup outdoors or in dorm event spaces, dining halls, and amphitheatres

How it works

From inquiry to encore.

  1. Pre-event brief

We confirm the crowd size, the event type (Greek life social, student activities night, alumni event, graduation party), and any content guidelines you need us to stick to. Tight timelines are normal for student-organised events and we can turn a booking around in under a week if we have the date.

  2. Arrival and setup

Our DJ arrives early to set up four mics, the TV monitor, the Bose speakers, and the library. Outdoor setups are fine; indoor dining halls, dorm common rooms, and campus venues are all standard for us.

  3. Energy management on the night

Our host opens with songs the students recognise, helps groups sign up together, mixes dance music between performances, and steps in if the energy dips. The crowd self-organises pretty quickly once a few people are up.

Common questions

Things people ask before they book.

Can you book on short notice?

Yes. Student activities offices often need a replacement vendor at short notice. We have turned around bookings in under a week, including a Sarah Lawrence event where the original vendor cancelled and we covered the date and the song requests cleanly.

Do you do clean versions for events that require it?

Yes. If your event requires clean playlists, no swearing, or specific content restrictions for a residence life or campus policy reason, tell us in the brief and we will run the library accordingly.

What kinds of college events do you cover?

Greek life socials, dorm-block parties, student activities nights, alumni events, graduation parties, and outdoor campus events. We have hosted all of these across NYC, Westchester, Connecticut, and New Jersey, and the setup scales from a fifty-person common room to a three-hundred-plus outdoor amphitheatre.

What equipment do you bring?

A full professional rig: Bose speakers, four wireless microphones so groups can sing together, a TV monitor on a stand for lyrics, and the full, up-to-date karaoke song library.

How current is the music for a student crowd?

The library is huge and continuously updated, so current pop, hip-hop, and TikTok hits sit alongside throwbacks for alumni nights. Students queue songs from their phones using a QR songbook.

  • DJ Dave is a rockstar! I recently hired Dave to be the DJ at my birthday party, and I couldn't have been happier… He knows his music and can read a crowd that can only come with years of honed experience. The party was a blast thanks to his contributions. Would not hesitate to hire him again!
